Pagadian is one of the terminal port of Zamboanga catering cargoes and passengers from the hinterland of Region IX specifically Zamboanga del Sur and alternative port to ports of Malangas in Zamboanga Sibugay, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur and other ports in Zamboanga del Norte. Malangas is one of the terminal ports of Zamboanga catering cargoes and passengers from the hinterland of Region IX specifically Zamboanga Sibugay Province and alternative port to ports of Pagadian and Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. The main incoming cargoes of the Port of Malangas composed of various finished goods and products. There is also coal product at PNOC wharf.
