PORT OF ISABELA

Basilan is one of the terminal ports of Zamboanga catering cargoes and passengers from the southern part municipality and island to the principal port of Zamboanga and an alternative port to Lamitan in catering goods from the hinterland municipalities of Basilan Province. The main outgoing cargoes of the Port of Basilan includes Copra, lumber, seaweeds and other sea products for Zamboanga, Iligan and other port. Incoming cargoes composed of various finished goods and products.

The Port of Basilan is located at 96°53’ N Latitude and 120°02’ E Longitude, North West Coast of Basilan Island, South West of Sulu Sea, Isabela, basilan Island.

Basilan terminal is situated in the City of Isabela, the seat of the provincial government of Basilan and a component of City. Near to Zamboanga, Isabela is the center of economic activities of the province.
