PMO ZAMBOANGA CONDUCT ITS 7TH EXPLOSIVE ORDNACE RECONNAISSANCE AGENT (EORA) TRAINING
The Port Management Office of Zamboanga through its Port Police Division conducted today, January 22, 2024, the 7th Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent (EORA) Training in collaboration with the Phil. Coast Guard’s Special Operations Group and Southwestern Mindanao Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit. The five-day activity aims to 1.)Demonstrate proficiency in handling EOR equipment. 2.) Develop a thorough understanding of safety protocols and procedures. 3.) Enhance terrain analysis skills for effective reconnaissance planning. 4.) Foster effective communication among government law enforcement agency and teamwork during EOR operations. 5.) Apply learned techniques in practical field exercises and scenario-based training. 6.) Identify and mark various explosive hazards accurately. 7.) Understand the importance of continuous learning and improvement in EOR operations. The event was attended by representatives from the Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Phil. Coast Guard, Phil. National Police-Maritime Group, Port Police Division Personnel, Officers from the Ateneo de Zamboanga University, KCC, Montenegro Shipping Lines Inc., and Aleson Shipping Lines Inc. In the coming days, the participants will learn from theories in the classroom and will apply these theories in field training. Port Manager Arcidi S. Jumaani shared to the participants to maximize their learnings from the course to safeguard the lives and property, and the country. He also added vigilance and technical kno-how are key in combating terrorism. The PMO supports this type of training because the security and safety of the lives of the passenger and the facility is paramount.
